Celebrating the cultural importance of self-sufficiency through fishing and hunting

The Festival for Fishermen and Hunters in Narsaq is a celebration of their important role for self-sufficiency. Narsaq International Research Station contributed to the festival with with an exhibition of research into the migration and ecological divergence of the arctic char in South Greenland. The exhibition posters featured ongoing research by scientist Jakob Brodersen and his team from EAWAG - The Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology. Organised by Innovation South Greenland's fisheries and hunting consultant, Fishermen and Hunters Association in Narsaq (NAPP), Innuttaasut Illuat and Kalaalimineerniarfik (the local fish and meat market).
