Nordic Alliance of Artists Residencies on Climate Action (NAARCA)

Inspiring days with foraged food in the green landscapes of Saari Residency, Finland with colleagues from the Nordic Alliance of Artists Residencies on Climate Action (NAARCA). For the past years we have collaborated on research, institutional change, public education and pedagogic tools for schools around climate action and we have commissioned new art and writing that addresses the climate crisis. In Greenland we commissioned Inuk Silis Høegh (who unfortunately had to cancel due to work pressures) and new writing by author Pivinnguaq Mørch. Indian artist Nikhil Vettukattil stayed with us in Narsaq where he researched Nordic food and cooked hybrid Indian/greenlandic food in the youth club. His work is exhibited on our website here, and Rikke Luther (DK) who started her research into glacial flour at NIRS. her work is exhibited here.

NAARCA consist of Saari Residence (Finland), Cove Park (Scotland), Art Hub Copenhagen (Denmark), Baltic Art Center (Sweden), Narsaq International Research Station (Greenland), and Skaftfell Art Center (Iceland)
